Santos is a PhD student in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric & American Cultures at Michigan State University, where he studies food systems, social movements, Indigenous rhetorics and Chicanx culture. He has taught at universities in Michigan, Virginia, and Cambodia, and has enjoyed drawing from popular education pedagogy to teach a range of courses in composition, literature, and film. When he’s not busy being an academic, he’s usually making music on his laptop, playing basketball, or trying to learn his grandma’s Mexican recipes.
